Welcome to StevenCorrell.com

Thank you for deciding to take this journey with me.

The purpose of this site:

1) T0 connect with other people.

I plan to share my thoughts, feelings, experiences and perceptions of the world in order to empathize with others. Perhaps you’ve gone through a similar circumstance, maybe you have never thought of a situation the way I have; I think that the essence of humanity comes from one’s connection to other people. Together we learn, together we grow. If anything that I write resonates with you (positively or negatively) please don’t hesitate to comment and/or email me about it. This is the primary purpose of this site. I want to know what you think, which is why I’m sharing what I think. Just don’t be a jerk, sound good?

2) To help other people.

I know what it entails to feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. Like you’re physically and mentally being crushed by it all and yet everyone around you seems oblivious to your plight. Another main point of this site–which goes hand in hand with connecting with other people–is to recognize that you are not alone. While the world might be big and scary–we all have problems, doubts, fears and insecurities that eat away at us. Together we are strong.

3) To be authentic.

Everything that I post on this site is going to be true, it’s going to be real, raw, and authentic. In my mind, that’s the only way to do it. I just want to connect with and help out people through sharing my perceptions and insights. Also let’s have fun with it, because if it’s not enjoyable to anyone then there’s really no point to any of this.

Who is Steven Correll?

Steven is a 23 year old male from Long Island, New York. He graduated Binghamton University in May of 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Rhetoric and Global Studies. He realized early on in his college career that what he wanted most in his life–location independence and financial independence–were not achievable under the traditional American job/life structure.

So after graduating he decided to get an internship at an awesome little startup company called RoomZoom to see what he could learn from the pathway that seemed most advantageous to his life goals. Before he knew it he was an intern no longer and instead had become the Director of Marketing and Growth of the venture-backed startup; not bad for less than a year out of college.

He has since left RoomZoom and capitalized on an amazing opportunity to join up with Ordereze–an online digital agency for restaurants–to help build a marketing department from the ground up and deepen his digital marketing knowledge with the support of a more established company behind him.

Life is a journey that no one can predict. All that we can do is point ourselves in the right direction, put one foot in front of the other and see where we end up. This blog is a first step, I can’t wait to see where we end up.
